CIMPA is supporting SEAMS Schools of the South East Asian Mathematical Society (SEAMS).
The duration of a SEAMS School is 7 days. The objective of a SEAMS school is to provide opportunity to have an advanced learning experience in mathematics, and to introduce a research-based learning for undergraduate as well as master students of the country in which it is held, and for those of countries nearby.
A call for application is published every year. The roadmap, the format of the proposal as well as the format of the report of SEAMS schools are on the following web page : http://seams.maths.web.id/.
Proposals are evaluated by the following SEAMS School Committee :
• Edy Tri Baskoro, Indonesia (Chair), SEAMS
• Wanida Hemakul, Thailand, SEAMS
• Le Tuan Hoa, Vietnam, SEAMS
• Fidel Nemenzo, Philippines, SEAMS
• Ling San, Singapore, SEAMS
• Claude Cibils, France, CIMPA
• Brigitte Lucquin, France, CIMPA
• Christian Mauduit, France, CIMPA
In 2014, the deadline for the proposals was on February 15th 2014. The results were known on March 31th 2014.
In 2015, the deadline for the proposals was on October 30th 2014. There were 6 schools in 2015, see the list below and the reports.
In 2016, the deadline for the proposals was on September 30th 2015 and the final decision was taken in December 2015. The list of the 7 SEAMS Schools in 2016 is given below. We also refer to the webpage http://seams.maths.web.id/current-schools for more details and links to the webpages of the schools.
In 2017, the deadline for the proposals is on September 30th 2016.
