CIMPA-UNESCO-ARGENTINA School

Homological methods and representations of non-commutative algebras

Objectives :
We intend to introduce the students to some important new developments in Arrangement Theory, Singularity Theory and related areas in Algebraic Geometry. The main emphasis will be the interaction of this two subjects. The school will draw attention on a very active area of research in Mathematics, which is likely to produce major advances in various branches of applied sciences such as computer science (visualization of singular spaces and geometric modeling) or robotics ( configuration spaces of bar mechanisms). The school should provide students with the tools necessary for conducting research in these areas and should facilitate the contacts between the students coming from various European countries and Mediterranean countries.

Chairman:
María Julia Redondo (Universidad Nacional del Sur, Argentina)

Organizing committee:
Sonia Trepode (Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Argentina)
Claude Cibils  (Université de Montpellier II, France)
Andrea Solotar (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina)
Maria I. Ramalho Martins (Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil)
