CIMPA-UNESCO-MESR-MINECO-MEXICO research school

Report by Raul Felipe

Report by Mercedes Siles

Objectives :

The aim of this school is to introduce graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to contemporary developments in the theory of Associative and Nonassociative Algebras and Dialgebras.

Administrative and scientific coordinators

  • Raul Felipe, CIMAT, Guanajuato, Mexique. Chair of the Local Organizing Committee at CIMAT raulf@cimat.mx
  • Cándido Martín González, University of Malaga, Spain candido@apncs.cie.uma.es

On the 6th of June, 2012, Jean-Louis Loday passed away in a maritime accident. The deep sense of loss has motivated the Organizing Committee to dedicate this School to honour a Man and a Mathematician who contributed with his work and enthusiasm to the development of our knowledge in Algebra and Geometry.

Jean-Louis Loday had been appointed as a Lecturer for this School from its beginning. Now we dedicate it to his memory.

Scientific Committee :

- Juana Sánchez Ortega, University of Malaga, Spain. Chair of the Scientific Committee
- Murray R. Bremner, Mathematics and Statistics, University of Saskatchewan, Canada
