CIMPA-UNESCO-MESR-MINECO-MEXICO research school
Report by Raul Felipe
Report by Mercedes Siles
The aim of this school is to introduce graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to contemporary developments in the theory of Associative and Nonassociative Algebras and Dialgebras.
On the 6th of June, 2012, Jean-Louis Loday passed away in a maritime accident. The deep sense of loss has motivated the Organizing Committee to dedicate this School to honour a Man and a Mathematician who contributed with his work and enthusiasm to the development of our knowledge in Algebra and Geometry.
Jean-Louis Loday had been appointed as a Lecturer for this School from its beginning. Now we dedicate it to his memory.

All courses will be English-spoken if necessary. Otherwise, courses can be in Spanish, based on the origin of the Speaker.
Basic courses of this school will include theory of nonassociative algebras and a panoramic introduction to Lie algebras, among others which will strengthen the PhD program in Pure Mathematics offered by CIMAT, the host institution, and will reinforce young postgraduate students and mathematicians from the region’s countries on these subjects.
